Apathist in Psychology

Apathist Text

An apathist is someone who maintains a stance of indifference or emotional detachment toward issues that typically evoke strong opinions or moral engagement. Unlike an apathetic person who may lack motivation or interest broadly, an apathist consciously chooses not to engage emotionally or ideologically with specific topics—often as a philosophical or psychological posture.

In psychology of religion studies, apathists are people with low levels of religious or atheist beliefs.
